Bakersfield Model Yacht Club

Welcome to "sailbakersfield.com", the Bakersfield Model Yacht Club website. The BMYC is the only “Yacht Club” in Bakersfield, California.

We were chartered by the national organization of AMYA (American Model Yachting Association) as club #126 in Region 6 of the United States in 2002.

We are devoted to promoting R/C (Radio Controlled) model yacht design, building, sailing, racing, and preservation of model sailing activities in our local area.

We currently sail four (4) different AMYA sanctioned classes of model yachts, Victorias, Fairwinds, Soling 50s and the "Open" class called the "Footy". Most of our regattas are held the first and third Saturday of each month throughout the year at either the Park at River Walk, or at Riverlakes.
